Dominic Vince
Dominic gained his MA at Canterbury Christchurch in 2002 and attended The Royal Drawing School from 2005-06. He lives with his family in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.
Dominic's work is focused mostly on the area around his home, the East Coast of Yorkshire, and the South East Coast of Scotland. His work serves as little monuments to places and moments in his immediate life, set in the stone of a semi-abstract language, and built up from regular observation and strong emotional attachment, whether it's a favourite cliff or his children playing chess in the kitchen.

The exploratory act of painting intensifies the relationship; the search for structure, the hunt for colour, the constant reassessment, taking in not only how a scene might hit the eye, but how it ignites the nervous consciousness, demanding a response.
